Hey Eddie, Thanks for the great video explaining the setup. One question – Should the apple TV and the output from the mixer be connected to the same channel in the receiver? for example – i have my apple TV HDMI cable connected to the media player input in the receiver. Can I connect my mixer output to the CD slot for analog audio?

Like this walk-through and how-to on setup. Question: Would you, or anyone who reads the comments, know how to get the audio to go to both the receiver and into the mic port on an iPhone for Facebook Live? Essentially, I want to be able to see a clean audio feed to Facebook while I can hear my performance in my home.

Simple explanation. Thank you! I’m not able to display video as I’ve to disconnect hdmi in order for audio to output from Apple TV to receiver. I’ve a projector for display, receiver, Apple TV, DAC, Mixer and microphone unit in my set up. Please advise on how to display video.

Heard from a few people you're supposed to use PA speakers instead of home theater speakers for karaoke, but I really want to use HT speakers instead for cost and aesthetic reasons. Can you confirm that you're speakers are still working fine and how often do you use the karaoke?

Has anyone figured out a good way to use this but also have the ability to change pitch/key/scale on YouTube videos? That's the biggest challenge to overcome as of right now. Open to even using a computer to make this happen. Thanks in advance!

I followed your setup exactly, thank you, but I am getting an annoying delay of miliseconds on the voice.
The amp has a delay setup but is already in the minimum setting. Do you have advise?

Hi Eddie, nice little vid. Thanks! I'm trying to decide on the neatest setup for my home right now – I was just wondering – why are you using the ipad and not the Youtube directly on the apple tv?
would be interested in your reply!

Hi Eddie good tutorial and set up… But can you help me to connect with a Apple TV 4K….The 4k model haven't an optical output so did we need to replace the converter with an HDMI to RCA converter ??? Like this model : https://www.amazon.fr/Neoteck-extracteur-Converter-adaptateur-Splitter/dp/B01KLBKQBK/ref=asc_df_B01KLBKQBK/?tag=googshopfr-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=313852379501&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8002559855115258210&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9055988&hvtargid=pla-556218183480&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=62752101072&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=313852379501&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8002559855115258210&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9055988&hvtargid=pla-556218183480

And how to use when you don't use the mixer and karaoke and just watching the TV ??

I tried to explain my set up , I have a tv with all output optical and HDMI … actually my Apple TV is connected to my amplification Yamaha RX V677 to the HDMI port and an HDMI cable goes to the HDMI of the TV and that's all and it works perfectly …. Thanks for your reply

Hi Eddie, it was very helpful. But, I have a few question, since I'm not into home audio that much.

Can I skip the receiver? For example, I put a music player (whatever it is), and mics into the mixer, then goes directly to the power amp then speaker? This is more pro audio routing, but is it okay to skip receiver if I don't use it that much? Thanks mate.

Ok question, I have an Onkyo as well, purchased similar items even found an old Apple TV 3rd gen. My question is, I have a newer Onkyo, it used ARC, so all the audios/videos can be controlled by the Onkyo. I tried to bypass using the Apple 3 tv and just running audio from tv to mixer and casting to the smart tv but when I set my cables into the receiver, the receiver automatically goes back to the tv selection vs the input I chose for the audio input. If I rig the Apple TV 3 the way you have it with optical and create a “karaoke” setting on say CBL/Sat, are you hooking your HDMI cable from the Apple TV directly to the tv or to the receiver?

Hi Eddi, I got a hdmi splitter since I have the last Apple TV generation but I have it plugged into a receiver on the cbl/sat hdmi portal as I have a projector plugged from this receiver… if I connect the rca cables from the splitter to the receiver on the rca portal cbl/sat (as the Apple TV is already connected to receiver to the hdmi portal on the same cbl/sat function) …will this able to work? Thank you
